I believe that blog originates with the innermost human desire to express themselves and share their experiences with the rest. Before the advent of the blog, people have taken the route of publishing their works thru the paper media. But obviously, as a author I know first hand that it is not easy route for the uninitiated. Obstacles are many. With the onset of blog, this barrier to entry has been significantly reduced. This means that there are as many sub-standard blogs as there are good ones. (Note: I know my own blogs haven’t always good. But thats blogging. It is not a fiercely edited content anyway)

 Before this, I took pleasure in blogging elsewhere especially high traffic web communities with the intention of sharing and expressing myself. So why here? why now?

I’d be honest to admit my blogging is not solely for benevolent purposes alone. Let me be very frank about this: I also have a vested interest in spreading my name in the community to a certain extent ethically without hurting my conscience. Good blogging has translated into mindshare and marketshare for my consulting work. But all along, it has been synonymous with myself and a few. Things are a bit different now. It is not I anymore. It is we – a company, ObjectSource – that has to gain mindshare and marketshare. Hence I have decided to blog from here. Obviously the Google hits to the corporate website matter

Having said that, I also know that you are not interested in knowing what cereals I had for my breakfast or seeing the photos of my last vacation. Hence, I assure you that I will limit my blog to discussing topics that I consider important for the software industry as a whole, things that affect software architecture and development. I will not hesitate to discuss topics that are contentious. I will not hesitate to shout that the “Emperor is naked”. However I will also not discuss them just for the heck of it. I will truly express myself reasonably on topics and technologies that matter to most.

It is my sincere hope that you will gather a thing or two about technologies that you work on as you read my blog. I welcome you all. Thanks for reading!!
